I think of play and work as complements, not opposites. Ideas that emerge through play and experiment often turn into an opportunity for work, and playing around is an intrinsic part of any interesting work.
Notable playthings are:
- La Fuente Creative Development Space - a scheme where I offer residencies in Arenas to people working on some kind of creative project.
- The Creative Tapas Experiment - an excuse for a party, masquerading as an exploration of co-creation and leadership.
- The Help Weekend - an experience of giving and getting help, based on the observation that whilst we like giving help, we normally aren't very good at asking for it.
There are plenty more where they came from. If you want to join in, have a look here.
